Welcome to the exam information section of our website.
You will find information here about external exams due to take place over the next academic year, as well as information for candidates.
Exam dates 2024-25
Mock exams
- Year 11 modern foreign languages speaking mocks: Monday 18–Wednesday 20 November 2024.
- Year 11 mocks: Monday 25 November–Friday 6 December 2024.
- Year 12 mocks: Monday 6–Friday 17 January 2025.
- Year 13 mocks: Monday 13–Friday 24 January 2025.
- Year 10 mocks: Tuesday 22 April–Friday 2 May 2025.
- Year 12 end of year exams: Monday 16–Friday 27 June 2025.
GCSE and A-level exams 2025
- GCSE and A-level examination season: Thursday 1 May–Wednesday 25 June 2025.
- Speaking and practical exams: are scheduled to take place before Thursday 8 May.
- National contingency dates: Wednesday 11 June (pm) and Wednesday 25 June (all day) 2025.
- All students taking external exams this year must be available on these dates as well as the dates of any timetabled exams.
- All students completing external exams have been issued with a statement of entry listing the date of all exams they are currently entered for.
- Individual final examination timetables containing dates, times and locations of each exam and on which any clashes will have been resolved will be issued to students before May.
- Our Candidate Exam Handbook will be available for download in due course. It contains all the information students need on exam rules and procedures, malpractice, data usage and frequently asked questions.
- Information on how to appeal will also be available to download in due course.

After the exams
Collecting results
GCSE and A-level exam results will be available for students to collect in person from school on the following dates:
- A-level results day: Thursday 14 August, 8.00am–1.00pm
- GCSE results day: Thursday 21 August, 8.30am–1.00pm
If a student is unable to collect their results in person, we require their written authority for a named person to collect them on their behalf. This written authority must be received by the Exams Manager prior to results day and a copy brought on the day by the nominated person. The forms to print and complete to give written authority for an alternative person to collect your exam results will be available to download at the bottom of this page. Alternatively, the results can be posted to your home address, however, we will require a stamped addressed envelope to do so.
